After the deafening silence

spanning several years

You appeared out of nowhere

and invited me to fly with you

to find a heaven of our own

as usual you didn’t listen

so you didn’t understand

I am not the person

that you loved and left

I’m not who I used to be

Make yourself see!

The long silence

has worked its magic

It hurt me,

stabbed me with painful memories

Then it healed me

numbing the pain

Created more memories,

without you in them

I made a sanctuary for my self

where you no longer have the place you had

So know that

After the silence

Even though I have become your priority

You are no longer even an option for me
