Its drizzling after a long drought
tiny weightless drops of water
sprinkling the parched earth
gently waking up the
dried up and dead soil
it reminds me of your love
gentle and patient
awakening the emotions
bottled up in my lonely heart
Its raining with a steady rhythm
creating a mesmerising lullaby
falling on the nourished earth
it reminds me of your love
strong and unceasing
staying true to the promised made
protecting the heart
that you have made your home
There is a cloudburst
a downpour like never before
beating on the harried earth
It reminds me of your love
unreasonable and selfish
domineering a heart you have cherished
destroying and diminishing
it's power to love
The rain and it's facades
remind me of your love
a love that could
make me or break me
nurture me or destroy me
a love
with its own shades of colours
