Gone Days

Nothingness comforts me
with the memories 
of our carefree banter
Stillness brings out
droplets of happy moments
spent together
But its hard
to hold onto the memories
Darkness swallows the reminisce
Thoughts of lighter memories
weighed down and drowned 
guilt and remorse clings on

I'm scared tp let go
scared to look back
scared that the regrets would 
engulf me

So, I'm staying motionless
pretending to be emotionless
envying the past
a time when we were unscarred
a time when we looked untainted
in each others eyes
